| ERIN'S APPROACH TO CHILDREN'S PHOTOGRAPHY | |
|
Fifteen years ago, I discovered my passion for photographing people. This was a time in my life when you couldn’t find me without a camera in tow, constantly photographing my family and friends.I have a hearty bundle of younger cousins, and they were my constant subjects in my early years as an aspiring photographer. I think it is because of my many adorable cousins that I have always loved photographing children. The honesty and joy you can see in a young child's face is priceless. Their face shows you exactly what they are thinking, and the excitement and curiosity in their eyes is simply unbeatable. After my husband and I had our first child in January 2009, I finally understood why is is so important to have every stage of your child's life documented. Children change so quickly. Sometimes I can barely remember what my son was like last month, and I can imagine how this must only get harder as the years pass by. The need to capture the little faces and personalities of each of my subjects suddenly became much more real. My number one goal is to make sure that your session with me is as relaxed and fun as possible -- this is, in my opinion, what results in the most meaningful and real photographs of your child. Because of this, I don't ever shoot in a studio. All of my photo sessions take place on-location. You can choose to have your child's photographs taken in your home or outdoors at your favorite park. In order to ensure my ability to provide the best service before, during, and after your photo session, I only book one portrait session per day and I don't book during the busy wedding season. If you are interested in learning more about booking a session with me, please send me an e-mail. I would love to meet you and your little ones. |
